Pharmaceutics is the discipline of pharmacy that deals with all facets of the process of turning a new chemical entity (NCE) into a safe and effective medication.
The department is involved in taking lectures of general chemistry, organic chemistry, pharmaceutical / medicinal chemistry and pharmaceutical analysis for the undergraduate students in the four year B.Pharm course.
Pharmacology is all about “finding out how drugs work”. It is concerned with the effects of drugs on living organisms and their components such as cells, membranes, organelles, enzymes and DNA.
Pharmacognosy deals with the study of crude drugs that includes plants, animals and marine sources. The subject has played a diverse role in the discovery, characterization, production and standardisation of crude drugs.

Dr Gaurav Mahesh Doshi, Asst Prof., Dept. of Pharmacology, SVKM’s BNCP bagged the “Excellence in Teaching Award” by Agro-Environmental Development Society (AEDS) Rampur, Uttar Pradesh, India. Dr. Munira Momin, Principal, SVKM's Dr. Bhanuben Nanavati College of Pharmacy received IDMA-ACG SciTech "Best Research Paper Award 2019" for the research paper titled "Synergistic effect of Nigella oil and clotrimazole as ethosomal gel for improved treatment of fungal infection" published in "Indian Drugs", 56(04), 2019, 45-49.
Dr. Munira Momin, Principal, SVKM's BNCP received prestigious Nehru-Fulbright international higher education administrators fellowship. She along with 14 members from various universities of India and various discipline, visited and interacted at 18 various higher education institutes at Chicago, Philadelphia, New Jersey, Maryland, Washington and Virginia.
Dr. Munira Momin- Principal at SVKM’s Dr. Bhanuben Nanavati College of Pharmacy paid a visit to Dubai College of Pharmacy on 15/03/2022 and College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, Ajman University on 16/03/2022 as a part of the Memorandum of Understanding between these institutes with BNCP. Dr. Munira Momin interacted with the faculty and students and briefed them about the activities at BNCP. She also delivered a talk on “Relevance of Collaborative learning and research ethics and Pharma innovation” in the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, Ajman University. Dr. Munira also explored various mutually beneficial research and academic collaborations with both institutions.

The fourth camp of Dayitva "Paint the cause" for the year 2021-2022 was held on February 27, 2022. This camp revolved around the theme of mental health awareness and positivity. Through their paintings the members of Dayitva committee intended to spread awareness and help people who are struggling with maintaining good mental health and also spark a sense of positivity amongst all. Dr. Munira Momin- Principal at SVKM’s Dr. Bhanuben Nanavati College of Pharmacy was invited to participate and present the college research profile and infrastructure at the event organized by Rajiv Gandhi Science and Technology Commission (RGSTC) to celebrate the event of “Atma Nirbhar Bharat: Efforts at STI Institutions in Maharashtra” as a part of DST-SSTP year-long programme on "Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav". Dr. Momin presented various research activities on going at the college and outcomes of 4 research projects funded by RGSTC. Total seven research Institutes and Universities had presented their research portfolio at the event. The event was attended by various STI institutes of India.

During these difficult times where everyone is stuck to their computer screens, the students of Dr. Bhanuben Nanavati College of Pharmacy’s Dayitva committee organized “PAINT THE CAUSE” Campaign. This campaign was organized keeping the “COVID Scenario” in mind with an aim to pay hearty tributes to not only the Frontline warriors but also each one of us who spent this difficult year and have done our bit to keep everyone around safe. The paintings were focused to encourage everyone to continue fighting the virus, take appropriate precautions and be safe. The hard work of the students was appreciated in the article in Marathi Newspaper - Pudhari and covered by ABP News.

International Women’s Day celebration on 8th March 2021
Career guidance and Placement cell of the college in association with Geebee Educational Pvt.Ltd organized a guest lecture of the International Speaker, Dr. Stephen Amato, Faculty Director of Graduate Regulatory Affairs and Life Science, North Eastern University on 4th October 2018. The primary objective of the Guest lecture was to give the overview of North Eastern University Courses and admission procedure and guide them in their career path.
